It does take quite a bit of work and time to acquire, but for those who have their heart set on it, they'll get there eventually. Proudspire Manor is ludicrously expensive, coming in at gold. Unfortunately, it's not really located in a very good position in Solitude, requiring quite a bit of walking to get to most of the shops.
Interestingly enough, purchasing this house is required to finish the No Stone Unturned quest, since one of the Stones of Barenziah is located inside the house. The house comes fully upgraded, with a forge, an arcane enchanter, and an alchemy lab. Since the house is located in Raven Rock, it obviously takes quite a bit of time to travel from the house in Solstheim to anywhere back in Skyrim.
It's important to note that a spouse cannot move into the house, either. Plots of land can also be purchased in Skyrim. Each plot is available for gold. A house can be built on the plot, requiring materials to be bought and the house to be upgraded incrementally.
The first homestead to talk about is Windstad Manor, purchased either from Aslfur, or, if the Stormcloaks have taken Hjaalmarch, purchased from Pactur.
Either way, the plot can only be purchased after completing the quest Laid to Rest. The manor itself is located pretty close to Solitude. The next plot of land is Lakeview Manor, available for purchase from the Jarl of Falkreath, which is either Siddgeir or Dengeir of Stuhn, depending on the progress of Skyrim's Civil War. The Jarl will require certain quest s to be completed, and after they have been, you'll have the option to purchase the land.
Lakeview Manor is located a bit south of Bleak Falls Barrow, meaning Riverwood and Whiterun aren't too terribly far away, either. After selecting the plans, you will be instructed to use the carpenter's workbench to build the foundation of your house. This requires one sawn log and ten quarried stone. There will be a stone quarry somewhere on the site, so you won't need to go far to find some. Having done this, the quest concludes.
However, there are many more construction and furnishing options to choose from. See the construction article for more information. Two achievements are unlocked while completing the three versions of this quest:. Jump to: navigation , search. This page is currently being rewritten as part of the Skyrim Quest Redesign Project. This means you can quickly forge and repair equipment without having to track down all the proper equipment. Know what you can't do at Breezehome. Breezehome doesn't have an Enchanting Table, or a Mannequin.
This means you cannot enchant items without walking all the way to Dragonsreach. Without the Mannequin, you can't display your favorite pieces of armor. Breezehome is also fairly far away from the Thieves Guild fence at Honningbrew Meadery. How and where do I find Jarl's friend to buy the house from after the Whiterun Battle? How do I buy a house in Whiterun if Brill is dead in the street and I can't find the guy with the big sword?
I don't know who the guy with the big sword is but if Brill is dead, then reload a save where he is still alive. Or, alternatively ask the Jarl and they might point you in the right direction. Or, use cheats and bring him back. Not Helpful 0 Helpful 0.
