What is the difference between a christmas carol book and movie




















Over the years, numerous adaptations of this classic story have been developed. One of these versions is the dramatized version by Frederick Gaines. Another version is the television-movie directed by Roger O. These two versions of A Christmas Carol share similarities. He completed the narrative at the end of November so that it could be published by the time it was Christmas. It came out on December 17, and sold out in only three days Molly Oldfield. Although it isn't hard to believe that people do not realize that there are differences between the movie and the book.

A Christmas Carol is a short story, not very long at all as I read it today and found some interesting differences between the book by Dickens and the movie incantations. Most of the movies I have seen pretty much have the same screenplay it seems, with some small differences in most and some have a scene or two the others don't.

The first and most important difference is that all of the movies make it quite plain that Ebenezer's father send him to boarding school away from him is because his wife, Ebenezer's mother died in childbirth. That means that Ebenezer is the younger of the two, Fan being his older sister for him to be the child born when his mother dies.

However, the book states right out that Fan is his younger sister so he could not have caused his mother's passing during his birth.

Obviously all of the screenwriters decided this made more sense, especially since the book does not offer any reason for his father to hate him so. In the story and the movie Marley were dead. Scrooge was also very good friends with Marly before he had passed away.

Scrooge had also heard…. The movie itself is very much different from the book. The story was also changed with some of the plot. The movie and the book are both still following the same story line. Along with the same ending.

This is what I have noticed between the movie and the book. Number one is that the old man was cruel to the young man. That was huge difference.
